BrightStar Care of Lynchburg is Hiring a RN Administrator Near Lynchburg, VA

The RN Administrator (RNA) is a Registered Nurse who reports to the Regional Clinical Director (RCD) and is responsible for the office operations of the agency. The RNA manages the office staff, including the Customer Care Manager (CCM), Scheduler(s), and Front Office personnel. The RNA oversees the activities of the office, including call management, orientation support, and scheduling. The RNA also provides case management services to agency customers and, when required, performs selected clinical activities in the field. Responsibilities

Supervisor

  • Hires, trains and supervises the agency office staff and selected field staff (e.g., PT/OT/ST)
  • Supervises key office operations including oversight of schedulers, call management, orientation support, etc.
  • Exercises staff oversight to ensure new operations plans, policies, and procedures are consistent with company goals and objectives.
  • Handles personnel issues directly, using appropriate discretion and seeking professional HR/legal advice as appropriate.
  • Supervises, educates and coaches other field personnel as needed.
  • Plans and implements in-service and training programs.
  • Conducts performance evaluation of field staff.

Administration

  • Performs living room visits and assessments as needed
  • Plans, schedules and conducts community and hiring events
  • Schedules staff for new and existing client engagements as needed.
  • Maintains service product pricing and customer setup for new clients
  • Conducts start of care audits for new clients and new employee audits
  • Staffs after-hours on call as assigned
  • Maintains licensing database to ensure all active employee certifications are in compliance with state and federal requirements.
  • Interprets and administers national contracts, fulfills contract requirements in assigned territories, and ensures operations are conducted in compliance with contract provisions.
  • Establishes customer service standards and processes for individual branches and consolidated operations, monitors and evaluates customer service activities and results, and implements actions to improve and maintain service.
  • Establishes plans to identify and develop sources of qualified staff, contacts and recruits prospects, secures commitment for employment, and maintains employee relationships to ensure a continuous supply of qualified staff.
  • Establishes processes for continuous review of operations for compliance with applicable laws and accreditation requirements and initiates modifications or corrective actions as required.

Requirements

  • Current Certificate of Competence and in good standing with the provincial College of Nurses
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing. Must have graduated from a nursing accredited program.
  • CPR Certification
  • 3-5 years’ managing people and effectively scheduling staff at all levels (supervisory, per diem staff, full-time, and part-time employees).
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of health care in home and institutional setting.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Valid state-required proof of auto insurance.
  • Experience managing within a healthcare environment supervising field staff, LPNs, CNAs, and RNs is highly desired.
