Role Description

This is a private duty role for a bright and engaging Registered Nurse (RN) who is passionate about helping others. The Private Duty RN will be responsible for coordinating and providing care to their assigned patients in a safe and sensitive manner. Responsibilities include conducting in-home assessments, developing care plans, administering medications and wound care, providing patient and family education, and communicating with physicians and case managers. The patient is a toddler who requires trach and feeding tube care. Shifts are 10hrs daily. Nursing team members should be able to commit to at least 2 shifts per week.

**Successful applicants will be required to attend orientation and trainings at our Santa Barbara office**

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing with the State Board of Nursing
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a clinical setting as an RN
• Home health experience preferred
• Current CPR certification
• Ability to provide own transportation to and from patient's homes
• Excellent communication skills and ability to forge strong relationships with patients and clients
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Demonstrates sound judgment, critical thinking, and reasoning skills
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen
• Pediatric experience a plus
• Must have experience with Tracheostomy and feeding tubes
