Job Description
Our client, a fast-growth, SaaS technology company is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant on their corporate accounting team. This position will be a right hand person to the Controller and assist and lead activities around GL accounting, Month End close, account and bank reconciliations, P&L analysis, and audit prep. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with various levels of employees and management.
Primary Responsibilities
- Plan and perform monthly and quarterly closing procedures, including posting entries and preparing various reconciliations.
- Lead and coordinate fiscal month and year-end close process
- Assist in the year-end audit by working with external auditors, preparing schedules, and gathering support.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements
- Support the monthly consolidation process, including posting monthly intercompany billing and payables, posting elimination entries, and reconciliation of intercompany balances.
- Support implementation of financial systems, including upgrades and training
- Provide accounting support for mergers and acquisitions
- Partner with cross-functional teams and finance leadership
Qualifications
- B.A. degree in accounting or related field
- 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience
- Knowledge of GAAP/IFRS
- NetSuite ERP accounting system experience is required
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects to meet deadlines and goals.
- Ability to adapt to a changing schedule as directed.
- Ability to work independently and effectively manage time.
- Strong presentation and communication skills with internal and external parties
