Tax Manager | $120k - $130k Bonus & LTI | Hybrid – Chicago

The Tax Manager assumes responsibility for overseeing all tax accounting operations, including federal and state tax filings, sales tax, use tax, tax research, and compliance. Additionally, this role provides essential support for additional filings, ensuring the financial reporting team possesses requisite documentation ahead of deadlines.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise the preparation and submission of federal, state, and local tax returns, estimated tax payments, and extensions.
• Collaborate with Finance team members to streamline data flow and uphold compliance with reporting regulations.
• Aid in quarterly and annual income tax accounting adhering to IAS 12/ASC 740 standards.
• Review compliance workpapers and filings for various taxes, overseeing external service providers to guarantee punctual submissions.
• Stay abreast of legislative changes impacting the company and manage SOX 404 compliance for the tax function.
• Support the implementation of tax technology tools and contribute to non-US tax accounting tasks.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of tax law modifications, conduct technical research, and offer support during domestic tax audits.
• Provide assistance with tax planning, M&A activities, special projects, and other assigned duties by management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Tax, Finance, or a related field.
• Possess 4 years of pertinent tax experience, ideally within large publicly traded companies, gained from either public accounting or industry roles.
• ASC 740 experience is essential.
