Tax Manager | Hybrid | $115k - $130k Bonus

The Tax and Consulting team focuses on building lifelong relationships with clients. The Tax Manager works with wealth strategy specialists and advisors to deliver a comprehensive process addressing all areas of clients' wealth management needs.

The Tax Manager oversees tax preparation services and supports the training, development, and coaching of Tax Associates, Tax Interns, and Wealth Strategy Team Associates. This role provides guidance to meet the tax preparation needs of both internal and external clients. The Tax Manager should exemplify the company's philosophies and values, maintain a positive attitude, and effectively communicate with both internal and external clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee training, development, and management of Tax Associates, Tax Interns, and Wealth Strategy Team Associates, including recruiting, hiring, termination, promotion, and discipline.
• Stay current on industry changes and ensure consistent implementation through training and coaching.
• Assist with setting and executing annual goals and objectives for the Tax & Business Services team.
• Proactively communicate with clients and team members.
• Review moderate to complex individual, trust, partnership, and corporate tax returns.
• Review individual tax analyses and various financial planning analyses (e.g., social security, stock options, Roth conversions).
• Conduct research and analysis for complex tax transactions and topics, and communicate findings.
• Implement tax planning and consulting opportunities.
• Provide tax expertise to clients and team members.
• Develop and periodically review policies and procedures for tax services and department workflows.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
• Facilitate educational and training opportunities for team members.
• Support and assist team members as needed.
• Perform other duties as required.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, including bank reconciliations, payroll processing, and journal entries.
• Prepare various quarterly and annual compliance reports.
• Support senior managers and attend client meetings as needed.
• Gather, organize, and synthesize client data; review financial statements, tax returns, estate planning documents, and other necessary information to develop financial plans or analyses.
• Prepare and deliver various financial planning analyses (e.g., tax, social security, insurance, stock options, Roth conversions, and pensions).
