Brine Group Staffing Solutions is Hiring a Medical Laboratory Scientist (aka MLS/MT/MLT) Near Portland, ME

Locations: Labs Throughout Central & Southern Maine
  • Sign-on bonus (2 years of exp receive $15K, less than 2 years exp receive $7,500).*
  • Relocation assistance.
  • Experience preferred, however new grads are encouraged to apply.
  • We've received numerous applicants with education and experience in research &/or Biotech/Pharma. Sorry, that is not relevant for these positions. The positions require clinical lab (hospital &/or reference lab) experience.
Our client is a clinical laboratory that provides comprehensive, dependable, quality laboratory services to hospitals, physicians, long-term care providers, other laboratories and health care organizations throughout Maine and New Hampshire.

There are needs for all of the following:
  • Generalist
  • Blood Bank
  • Microbiology
  • Histology
  • Quality Tech
  • Supervisor for off-shift
As a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for independently performing and monitoring laboratory testing of patient specimens according to established procedures and regulatory requirements. You will confirm, interpret, correlate and report normal and abnormal patient results. You will recognize technical, instrumental and/or physiological problems and initiate resolutions and assume responsibility for accuracy, quality control and required instrument maintenance.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Science/Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory, Chemical, Physical, or Biological Science required.
  • Certification as a Medical Technologist (or equivalent) or Medical Laboratory Technician or as a categorical technologist (e.g., C, H, I, BB, M) by a recognized professional organization (e.g., ASCP, AMT). Certification is required within 6 months of hire.
