Overview

An experienced housekeeper is sought for homes in East Hampton. A lovely family who lives in the city is looking for a temp to perm, full-time exceptional housekeeper to be a part of their fully staffed summer homes to start in August.

The schedule will be an 8-hour day when the family is not in residence, however during August or anytime the family is present, flexibility is required.

You must be willing to work longer days, weekends, or holidays during that time.

Responsibilities

Duties include but are not limited to :

• General cleaning tasks such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, polishing surfaces, cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms, kitchen, bedrooms, living areas and other designated areas as required
• Organization and maintenance of closets, pantries, and storage areas to ensure neatness and accessibility.
• Laundry and ironing
• Changing of linens

Qualifications

• Team player who will collaborate with other staff to ensure seamless operations within the household
• Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, products and equipment
• Ability to handle delicate and valuable items with care
• Keen eye for detail
• The knowledge of how to set a table, perform dinner service, and assist with entertainment details is a plus.

Requirements

• Experience working in a fully-staffed large formal estate
• Ability to work weekends, longer days and holidays on occasion
• Must be legal to work in the U.S.

Salary and Benefits

The family is offering $45 per hour. If the role becomes permanent a generous benefits package will be provided.
