Overview

A lovely family of four in Bedford, NY is seeking a full-time nanny/family assistant for their two school-aged children. The schedule would be Monday through Friday, typically 9am to 5pm or 10am to 6pm, but with flexibility for a later evening about once per week (totaling 40 weekly hours). The family spends part of Summers in the Hamptons, so you would stay overnight a few days per week during those months. You should be available to join some family vacations with advance notice.

Responsibilities

• Care and engagement of two school-aged children
• Driving to and from school and activities in the family's car
• Helping with homework and managing the afternoon routines before and getting dinner prepared
• The family assistant responsibilities (generally to be completed in the few hours pre-school/camp pickup or during commutes to/from the Hamptons in the summer) include things like personal administrative or house management tasks for the parents, grocery shopping and errands, and keeping the children's and family's lives organized in coordination with the parents and remote Estate Manager

Qualifications

• Someone energetic and proactive with a positive attitude
• Comfort with active and involved parents who WFH and are in and out throughout the day
• Collaboration and a team-player attitude when working in coordination with a housekeeper and estate manager
• Someone interested in cooking for the family would be a plus

Requirements

• Legal to work in the US
• Ability to join for travel with notice and to live-in a few days per week in the Hamptons during the Summers
• Confident swimming skills
• Comfort on boats
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record

Salary and Benefits

• $40-$45 per hour (40 hours per week guaranteed = $83,200-$93,600 per year)
