Overview

An adventurous and kind expat family who will be staying in Mountain View for the Summer is looking for one full-time live-out (local) nanny / educator for their 4-year-old daughter.

Their younger child will have her own nanny the majority of the time. There is some flexibility in the schedule but ideally, the candidate will work 5-6 days per week, 6-10 hours per day, so the family has 7-day coverage during the 6-week contract.

Responsibilities

• Full childcare of one sweet and active 4-year-old girl with occasionally helping with younger child
• For the 4-year-old they are looking for someone to expand on the child's self-directed interests which at the moment are drawing, art, and writing
• Child-related laundry, cooking, and tidying up

Qualifications

• Familiar with play-based, respectful parenting practices such as RIE, Montessori, or Reggio
• A drivers license and clean driving record would be ideal but they do have many things to do within walking distance (a car will be provided for driving the children)
• The ability to speak Mandarin or Cantonese would be a bonus as the older child is trilingual

Requirements

• Safety conscious and good judgment (their younger child loves to climb and is very active)
• Flexible with hours
• Team player and a good communicator
• One parent has an extreme cat allergy so if the candidate has a cat, you must be willing to change clothes when arriving at work
• US passport, Green Card, or EAC
• Must be available for the whole duration (July 1 through August 16th)
• Trustline certification

Salary and Benefits

$40-50 per hour

If the family needs help on July 4, the nannies will receive holiday pay
