Contract Private Practice Dietitian Position – Greenville, SC (this is NOT A VIRTUAL POSITION)

Hours: 15-20 hours/week

Brittany Jones Nutrition Group is a shame-free, non-diet practice established in 2017 by CEO and Registered Dietitian Brittany Jones, MS, RD, LD in Greenville, SC. Our group of Licensed and Registered Dietitian’s take a weight-inclusive approach to care. Rather than using weight as the primary indicator for health – we focus on behavior change and modifiable outcomes instead. We provide respectful and compassionate care for people in all body types, shapes, and sizes.

The Contract Registered Dietitian works with clients in 1:1 nutrition counselling sessions at our office on Halton Road, or virtually via HIPPA approved Zoom. This dietitian will also collaborate with local upstate SC businesses to lead group nutrition presentations. This position helps fill the need for medical nutrition therapy and a non-diet approach in the Greenville, SC and surrounding areas to serve medical office referrals, therapist referrals, and the community alike. We are looking for a dietitian with 3 years of nutrition counseling experience, and would prefer a dietitian with a specialty in one of the following areas: diabetes, gastrointestinal, or intuitive eating. You can build your own schedule and it can include nights/weekends if needed.

Compensation:

This position is a contract based position and the dietitian will receive an agreed upon amount of each package based on experience.

Job Responsibilities:

• Completes comprehensive patient nutrition assessments during counseling sessions using motivational interviewing reassessments, addressing previously identified nutrition-related problems
• Uses Stage of Change theory to meet clients where they are at
• Utilizes motivational interviewing skills to counsel clients
• Interprets lab results and estimates nutrient requirements
• Develops SMART goals and adapts meal plan/goals with clients as they continue to progress in multiple sessions
• Demonstrates dependability through attendance, punctuality, communication with the team
• Provides continuous support with clients through thorough charting, answering client emails, and calls
• Coordinates care with physician offices and therapists as needed
• Completes discovery calls bookings for clients
• Charting and faxing notes in a timely manner
• Deliver group nutrition presentations for local businesses and community groups
• Sell additional follow up packages and products

Position Requirements:

• Registered Dietitian Required (B.S. or M.S. in Nutrition Science/Dietetics, and completed ACEND dietetic internship). Non-RDs will NOT be considered for this position as it is required to provide Medical Nutrition Therapy in the state of South Carolina.
• SC dietetics licensure required
• 3 years nutrition counseling experience
• Experience with a weight inclusive (non-weight focused) approach to nutrition
• Motivational Interviewing training and/or experiences
• Strong group presentation skills
• Experience in meal planning in a non-diet capacity
• Excellent time management skills
• Strong computer and EMR skills
• Must hold current professional liability insurance (can be purchased after hire)

Preferred experience:

• One of the following: Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist, Monash University Low FODMAP Certification Program, Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor
• Experience working with clients who have disordered eating and the effects of chronic dieting
• Marketing, social media, and sales experience

Pay: $66.00 - $91.00 per hour
