Join Broad Reach Hospice as a Part-Time Chaplain!About the Role: We're looking for a compassionate Hospice Chaplain to provide spiritual and emotional care to terminally ill patients and their families. You'll offer grief support, manage documentation, and coordinate end-of-life information and support across various faiths and cultures.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct spiritual assessments for patients and families.
- Coordinate with community clergy for spiritual rituals and support.
- Offer nondenominational spiritual counseling and support.
- Address spiritual, social, and emotional needs of patients and families.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings.
- Document services in EMR timely and accurately.
- Assist with bereavement support and refer families to community resources.
- Engage in Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement activities.
- Represent Broad Reach Hospice positively in the community.
- Graduate of an accredited seminary or school of theology (BD, MDiv, or equivalent).
- Preferably, four units of Clinical Pastoral Education.
- Experience with end-of-life care.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work within an interdisciplinary team.
- Comfortable with diverse faiths and lifestyles.
- Proficient in electronic documentation.
- Own a vehicle for travel within the service area.
