Your Role

As the lead professional in our Sacramento office, you will be instrumental in driving the success of our local business. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and managing staff, clients, and projects
  • Preparing and reviewing proposals, work plans, and reports
  • Conducting field visits to ensure project execution and safety compliance
  • Managing suppliers and subcontractors
  • Engaging in professional organizations and charitable initiatives

Minimum Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, geology, hydrogeology, or a related field
  • A California Professional Geologist (PG) or Professional Engineer (PE) license, or the ability to obtain one within six months of employment
  • 8 or more years of experience in environmental consulting or related industry
  • Proficiency in federal and state environmental regulations
  • Strong multitasking and time management skills
  • Willingness to travel
  • Demonstrated relationship-building and business development abilities

Desired Qualities

We're particularly interested in candidates who have:

  • Knowledge of the consulting business landscape
  • Expertise in environmental assessment, remediation, water supply and treatment, stormwater management, wastewater treatment, permitting, and compliance
  • A commitment to staff development and safety
  • Advanced technical capabilities within their area of expertise
  • Exceptional problem-solving, research, and communication skills
  • Experience in identifying and mitigating potential hazards associated with site operations
  • Proficiency in technical writing and computer literacy
  • Experience in cost projections and tracking

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $105,000 to $150,000 (commensurate with experience, skills and proven ability to generate new clientele), along with a comprehensive benefits package, including:

Work Schedule and Location

This is a full-time position with typical workdays from Monday to Friday, with occasional travel and weekend work. The position is based in the Sacramento area with a service area covering Northern California.
