A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A STAFF/senior staff ENGINEER
As a Staff/Senior Staff Geologist/Engineer, you are the backbone of our business. Your hard work ensures that we deliver for our clients. Under the supervision of a Project Manager, you will support fieldwork activities as needed to drive project execution and ensure that appropriate health and safety procedures are being followed. People skills are essential as you interact regularly with contractors, regulators, and clientele.
Though a lot of time is spent supporting projects in the field, there is also a need for time spent in the Boerne, Texas office, preparing project reports and AutoCAD drawings. Fieldwork activities may include, but are not limited to:

• Soil and groundwater characterization
• Remediation system operation and maintenance
• Water and wastewater treatment facility monitoring
• Water resources activities
• Phase 1 Environmental Site Assessments
• Embrace and support a safe work environment
• Assist in completing daily paperwork/documentation
• Perform and document system inspections and measure field parameters
• Collect soil, surface water, and groundwater samples
• Maintain site safety and field logs
• Stop work as necessary to prevent incidents or impact to the environment

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum qualifications include, but are not limited to:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering: Environmental or Civil
• 0 - 1 Years work experience - Staff
• 2 - 5 Years work experience - Senior Staff
• Clean driving record as determined by our insurance carrier in order to drive company vehicles
• Technical writing competency
• Strong technical and computer skills
• Strong attention to detail and safety
• Self-starter, quick learner, and effective communicator
• Ability to work individually and as part of a team
• Ability to work consecutive long days in the field under varying adverse weather conditions (hot, cold, windy, rainy)

WORK SCHEDULE
This full-time Staff/Senior Staff Geologist/Engineer position typically works Monday - Friday with occasional traveling and weekend work.
