Job Description: As an Outside Plant/Fiber Optic Technician, you will play a crucial role in the installation, maintenance, and repair of fiber optic networks. This hands-on position requires a thorough understanding of fiber optic technology and outside plant infrastructure. Key Responsibilities:
Install, splice, terminate, and test fiber optic cables and related equipment.
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of fiber optic networks.
Conduct site surveys and prepare necessary documentation.
Ensure all work complies with industry standards and safety regulations.
Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Operate and maintain various tools and equipment required for fiber optic work. Qualifications:
Hands-on experience in fiber optic/OSP work.
Knowledge of fiber optic splicing, testing, and troubleshooting.
Familiarity with industry standards and safety practices.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
