Job Description :

The role of the Direct Support Professional is to be a caregiver for our individuals, and assist them in their daily activities to integrate and engage in their community.

Broadstep has been a leader in providing a continuum of physical, emotional, and mental support for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I / DD), mental illness, and co-occurring disorders for over 45 years.

Broadstep’s Illinois programs provide comprehensive behavioral health services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental illness, and other diagnoses that may impact their behaviors.

We are a family-friendly, individual-focused behavioral healthcare program of group homes and vocational day programs.

Schedule & Location :

  • Monday - Friday 2 : 00pm- 10 : 00 (Working every other weekend)
  • Yorkville,IL

Job Duties :

  • Assist individuals with daily activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene and medication administration.
  • Accompanying individuals on outings and activities.
  • Continually remain active, alert and able to respond to all scenarios.
  • Utilize various verbal and physical behavioral interventions.
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, including operations, clinical and medical staff to support therapeutic and behavioral plans for our individuals.
  • Provide and ensure complete service delivery in a healthy and safe manner that supports Broadstep’ s vision, mission and values.

Required Education / Experience / Skills :

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Must be able to pass a background check, drug screening, physical, and TB test.
  • Must have a valid driver’slicense.
  • Possess Patience, excellent communication.
  • Basic computer skills
