Overview:
The College seeks to build a pool of qualified applicants to teachCINE105 Film Appreciation.
CINE105 provides students with a foundational understanding of film theory, history, and filmmaking techniques. This is a non-production, theoretical course. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in film studies, effective communication skills, commitment to student success and the ability to foster an inclusive and interactive learning environment.
Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging lectures that cover film history, theory, and analysis.
Facilitate discussions to aide in understanding of course concepts.
Assign and grade writing assignments and exams to assess student understanding.
Provide timely and constructive feedback and support to help students succeed academically.
Cultivate an inclusive classroom environment that values diverse perspectives and promotes respectful dialogue.
Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
Masters degree in Film Studies, Media Studies, Communication, or a related field.
Prior teaching experience, especially at the college level, is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications & Special Considerations:
Strong need for daytime classes, limited evening sessions available. Morning, afternoon, evening and weekend courses may be available in Lincroft, Western Monmouth and Higher Education Centers.
