Brookfield Healthcare Center is Hiring a Director of Staff Development (DSD) Near Downey, CA

Compensation: $35-$50 an hour

The primary purpose of your job position is to plan, organize, develop, and direct all in-service educational programs throughout the facility in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, and as may be directed by the administrator, to assure that the highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times

Overview of Duties:

  • Plan, organize, develop, and direct all in-service educational programs throughout the facility in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, and as may be directed by the administrator, to assure that the highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.
  • RNA program administration
  • DSD and DON will share responsibility of supervising the staffing.
  • Plan, develop, direct, evaluate, and coordinate educational and on-the-job training programs.
  • Provide leadership in formulating the goals and objectives of the in-service educational programs of this facility.

Education/Requirements:

  • Certification in Staff Development
  • A minimum of 2 year(s) of experience in a skilled nursing/ long-term care facility.
  • Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an RN or LPN/LVN in this state.
  • Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care.
  • Must have experience in supervision and principles, practice of teaching, etc.
