We offer unparalleled opportunity to lead and manage one of the largest renewable energy businesses with decades of history, while contributing to the global need for sustainable energy Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Business Development, the Senior Analyst will join a team of high performing and collaborative professionals, working closely together on the development and execution of Brookfield Renewable’s growth strategies in the U.S.. The Business Development Senior Analyst will also support key initiatives related to capital deployment through both greenfield project development and external investment opportunities. The Business Development Senior Analyst will focus on supporting senior members of the team to identify, originate and execute renewable power investment opportunities; develop and execute on new growth initiatives; and facilitate capital recycling initiatives. The Business Development Senior Analyst will participate in executing broader investment strategies through other Brookfield sponsored investment vehicles with a focus on U.S opportunities. Participate in transaction execution, which includes due diligence of potential investments, identifying key investment merits and risks, meeting with management, reviewing transaction documentation, and working in conjunction with third-party consultants as required
Monitor existing portfolio assets and assist with various value enhancing business plan initiatives
Conduct valuations of assets and companies in the renewable power space using various methods such as comparable company analysis, precedent transactions and Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) valuations;
Build detailed financial models used in the evaluation of potential transactions and to support transaction execution;
Coordinate with cross functional teams to contribute to the due diligence process and liaise with external stakeholders in evaluation of investment opportunities;
Develop detailed business plans to support Brookfield Renewable U.S. senior management team in decision-making related to strategic initiatives and new business opportunities
Assist in developing ideas for potential transaction and deal structures, perform industry research and evaluate new market segments and potential opportunities;
Create presentation materials and present to senior management team and investment committees in a concise and comprehensive manner;
Conduct special projects as required.
Requirements
University degree in a quantitative field such as finance, business, economics, or accounting with high academic standing
2 years analyst level] years of relevant work experience, preferably in renewable power, infrastructure, private equity, investment banking, project finance, transaction services, or a valuations function
Experience conducting research and due diligence, evaluating transaction opportunities, performing financial and valuation analysis, and producing investment materials for senior management
Proven experience in detailed financial modeling in Excel including valuation and financing of investment opportunities
Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office tools.
