Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Estimator to lead our estimating team in the millwork/construction industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimating and management, with expertise in cost control and contract negotiation. This role is crucial for ensuring accurate project estimates that align with our company's financial goals and project timelines.

Duties

  • Preparation of detailed cost estimates for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Utilize software to develop and manage project estimates effectively.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for accurate pricing.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of blueprints and specifications using Bluebeam to identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
  • Manage the estimating team, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
  • Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to secure favorable terms for the company.
  • Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and pricing strategies.

Experience

  • Proven experience in construction estimating, with a strong understanding of construction management principles.
  • Proficiency in HeavyBid and Bluebeam software is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successful contract negotiations.
  • Familiarity with cost control measures and best practices within the construction industry.
  • Experience working on construction sites is a plus, providing practical insights into project execution.

Pay: $64,222.00 - $120,000.00 per year
