The Activities and Entertainment Manager is responsible for overseeing tasks throughout the event planning process for all activities and entertainment related Guest events associated with Casey Jones Village. Their duties include planning events, meeting with vendors, set-up, running errands for supplies and decorations, and working with Team Members to ensure the completion of a successful event.

Experience and compensation: Prefer 2-3 years experience with planning events. A certificate or degree in this field is not required, but encouraged. Pay is to be determined based on experience.

Hours: Full time position (considered 35-40 hours per week), but may require up to 45-50 hours per week depending on event schedule.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Establishing and maintaining relationships with vendors and venues
• Planning event details and aspects, including seating, dining, and Guests
• Representing The Old Country Store as a faith-based business with family friendly events
• Creating reliable financial reports, including event budget, and collecting payments on time
• Managing event within the appropriate budget guidelines for each event provided by the A&E fund
• Managing events and addressing potential problems that may arise
• Planning for potential scenarios that could impact the integrity of the event
• Maintaining a working knowledge of the complex needs of a wide variety of events
• Attend Staff Meetings to update Team on events as needed
• Reporting overall performance after each event
• Keeping detailed records for future events
• Keeping management informed on a timely basis for the status of all events
• Any and all other tasks as directed by CEO or General Manager
