Brookside Animal Hospital is a small animal exclusive private practice owned and operated by one doctor. Even though we may be considered a small practice, we are extremly busy and fast paced. Our next team member must be experienced in all aspects of the veterinary field, including but not limited to surgical, labratory, restraint, phone skills, animal welfare, etc.... Our hospital is located in a serene neighborhood but only minutes away from downtown.
Overview: Join our veterinary team as a Veterinary Technician and contribute to providing exceptional care to animals. We are seeking a dedicated individual with a passion for animal welfare and healthcare. Responsibilities: - Assist veterinarians in medical procedures and examinations - Perform animal restraint and handling with care and compassion - Administer medications and vaccines under veterinary supervision - Conduct animal catheterization procedures - Utilize X-Ray equipment for diagnostic imaging - Provide post-operative care and monitoring - Maintain accurate medical records and documentation - Educate pet owners on proper animal care practices Skills: - Proficiency in equine, small animal, and exotic animal care - Strong animal handling skills with an emphasis on restraint techniques - Knowledge of animal anatomy and physiology - Experience in animal catheterization procedures - Familiarity with X-Ray equipment operation - Background in veterinary medicine or related field - Dog training experience is a plus If you are a compassionate individual with a love for animals and possess the required skills, we invite you to apply for this rewarding opportunity to make a difference in the lives of pets.
