Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Incident Response Specialist to join our Client’s IT Security ecosystem. The ideal candidate should have a strong a ability to work & communicate with a team of SOC, IT, and Business professionals, demonstrating a knack for clear and concise interactions. As a Security Operations Specialist, you will play a crucial role in handling incident responses, overseeing security operations, and ensuring the effective management of cybersecurity incidents.
Responsibilities:
Incident Response Leadership:
- Take charge of incident response activities, demonstrating strong leadership in managing both smaller and medium-sized incidents.
- Provide immediate assistance in resolving security incidents, ensuring a quick and efficient response to mitigate potential risks.
Security Tools Proficiency:
- Utilize tools such as Jira and Confluence for effective communication and collaboration.
- Possess knowledge of SIEM and EDR, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies.
Technical Skills:
- Demonstrate expertise in scanning and identifying vulnerabilities.
- Stay updated on emerging threats, including 0-day vulnerabilities, to enhance the organization's security posture.
Desired Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in security operations, preferably with a focus on incident response.
- Strong background in enterprise-level security operations, showcasing a proven track record in handling incidents effectively.
