Location: Charlotte, NC – hybrid, 2 days/week in office

12-month contract with opportunity for extension or full-time conversion

Compensation: $50-$61/hr., dependent on experience

Brooksource is searching for a Digital Product Owner with at least 5 years of relevant experience to join our Fortune 500 Energy & Utilities client’s Agile Product team. This team is building a 360 degree view of the customer with a focus on digital channel data. The goal is to provide a single platform for our client’s employees to make business decisions and build products that reduce costs, increase revenue, and improve customer satisfaction. This information will be consumed via dashboard reports, running SQL ad-hoc analysis, data science, and building and deploying ML and AI models.

This Product Owner will oversee the Agile Product team responsible for constructing this consolidated data mart. The Product Owner defines, delivers, and manages the lifecycle of the product. He/she will lead our product team in developing this large-scale data mart.

Day-to-day responsibilities:

• Defines and manages product roadmap
• Build, groom and prioritize the product backlog, continuously managing expectations with relevant stakeholders – including the senior leadership team
• Manage the sprint planning process and participate in all relevant ceremonies (reviews of prior sprints, grooming, retrospectives, demos, etc.)
• Develop a deep contextual understanding of our customer, worker and user needs
• Gather market feedback through user interactions, focus groups, and by performing industry research to support future development
• Write detailed functional specifications, user stories and product documentation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams of developers, designers and analysts to implement and deliver new products and features
• Collaborate with the organization on vision, strategy, decisioning, tactical execution, and measurement systems
• Communicate roadmap stages and timelines internally with key stakeholders
• Assist in managing change for impacted stakeholders

Required Qualifications

• 5 years of experience
• Certified Scrum or SAFE Product Owner

Desired Qualifications

• Experience with Data related projects.
• Experience reading/interpreting BI Reports/Dashboards
• Basic understanding of Analytics or Statistical Analysis
• Previous SQL experience
