Long Term Contract
Our largest utilities client is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the design of new construction and/or retrofit of power generation facilities or heavy industrial facilities. This role involves leading and supporting mechanical design activities, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards, and collaborating with various disciplines to ensure project success.

Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university
- 10 years of experience in the design of power generation facilities or heavy industrial facilities
- Ability to lead the preparation of mechanical design scope documents, schedules, budgets, P&ID's, piping isometrics, general arrangement drawings and equipment or commodity specifications
- Ability to provide design oversight to ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards
- Offer technical direction to other engineers, designers, and drafters
- Maintain effective communication with other disciplines, project personnel, and plant personnel
- Visit plants to assess current field conditions and gather necessary information to support design activities
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with preparation of P&ID's, piping isometrics, general arrangement drawings
- Experience in a Mechanical Design Software
