Job Description – Facilities Specialist FT
Facility Specialist Hours
- 40 hours per week
- Monday-Thursday 1-9/9:30 pm, Friday 1-6 pm
- Periodic Saturdays (for special events) and periodic Sunday mornings
- Additional hours when necessary (fill in etc.)
Background, Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in basic facility maintenance and upkeep
- Ability to be on feet (stand, walk, squat) for long periods of time
- Ability to safely lift 45lbs. repeatedly for short periods of time (ex. tables & chairs)
- Organizational skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to multitask and work under time guidelines
- Strong communication and computer skills
- Strong attention to detail, self starter, proactive
- CPR certification a plus (or willingness to become certified)
Building Services Job Responsibilities
- Basic maintenance knowledge
- Room and auditorium setup/teardown (tables & chairs etc.)
- Climate control adjustment
- Safety/Security minded
- Address fire alarms, security issues etc., as needed
- Work with supervisor in supporting Brookwood security efforts (key fobs, cameras, support to our security team etc.)
- Address housekeeping related needs when/if they arise. (spills, trash, etc.)
- Patrol building and grounds
- Support and/or respond to small groups needs
- Support and/or respond to activities and events
- Department communication (forms, procedures)
- Fill in for other facilities personnel when out (vacation time, sick leave, etc.)
- Communicate and coordinate with volunteer(s)
- Event preparation (supplies, logistics,)
- Volunteer utilization
- Close and secure building at end of shift.
- Other tasks as assigned
