Combining 50 years of pharmacy benefit management experience, PillarRx is a leading firm dedicated to delivering pharmacy benefit consulting, PBM audits, and copay assistance services. Our pharmacy benefit team helps companies better understand and control their prescription drug costs, maximize pharmacy benefit savings, and reduce compliance risks.
This role will apply level experience to the development of PillarRx’s internal applications and support new client implementations by creating technical solutions to improve PillarRx’s business units. This role will lead requirements gathering, maintain and support functionality, and recommend architecture and database designs. Duties will primarily revolve around building software by writing code, fixing data errors, improving software performance, or adapting new technologies.
Essential Duties And Functions
  • Mentor and lead junior members of the team to support software development.
  • Develop software to improve business processes and/or resolve existing issues by following industry practices for security and development concepts.
  • Apply quality assurance practices that minimize errors and/or data discrepancies
  • Apply database schema concepts that ensure optimally running applications / routines
  • Lead the scrum, requirement gathering, and sprint review meetings
  • Collaborate directly with internal teammates to take business ideas and develop technical requirements that meet the business request
  • Follow all department procedures, including release and change management procedures, to ensure a mature software development approach
  • This position will include job duties that require risk designations for access to Electronic Protected Health Information (PHI) in the course of their job responsibilities

Required
  • 5 years applicable experience developing advanced application and data modeling within an enterprise environment
  • Extensive experience using C# with .NET 4.5
  • Extensive knowledge in SQL Server concepts
  • Applicable experience using HTML, CSS, JS, jQuery, MVC
Preferred
  • Associates or Bachelors degree in Software Development
  • Previous experience working in the pharmacy industry
