Our company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Controls Specialist to support the Earned Value Management System (EVMS) and Project Controls System. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in performing cost estimating, analysis, and control activities, while also overseeing and providing technical direction for cost engineering and planning/scheduling activities as delegated.
- Support the Earned Value Management System (EVMS) and Project Controls System.
- Perform cost estimating, analysis, and control activities.
- Supervise and provide technical direction for cost engineering and/or planning/scheduling activities.
- Identify trends requiring management attention.
- Perform quantity takeoffs, statistical analysis, and schedule monitoring.
- Prepare comprehensive and detailed reports.
- Demonstrate proficiency in computer operations and the use of EVMS tools.
- Understand technical processes, engineering drawings, quantity determinations, and mathematical and financial reports.
- Possess intermediate-level understanding of project controls general technical skills.
- Serve as a Control Account Manager (CAM) when required, demonstrating knowledge and experience in project controls, project management, project budgets, cost estimating, cost control, cost analysis, and project scheduling.
- Implement corrective actions and deliver detailed and accurate status reports.
- Utilize knowledge of engineering and construction management principles acquired through specialized instruction or practical experience.
- Stay informed about industry best practices and advancements in project controls.
- Minimum of four years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong skills in quantity takeoffs, statistical analysis, schedule monitoring, and report writing.
- Proficient in computer operations and the use of EVMS tools.
- Understanding of technical processes, engineering drawings, quantity determinations, and mathematical and financial reports.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of Earned Value Management System (EVMS) tools and processes.
- Experience as a Control Account Manager (CAM) is a plus.
- Familiarity with engineering and construction management principles.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.
