Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Embryologist to join our team. The Embryologist will be responsible for performing various laboratory procedures related to embryology and reproductive biology.

Duties:

• Testing of sperm and freezing sperm samples from couples about to undergo treatment
• Prepare, equilibrate media and assist in egg retrieval - embryologists receive test tubes containing liquid removed from the ovaries. Must be able to identify the oocyte cumulus complexes in a timely manner.
• The embryologist should be able to trim excess embryos for conventional insemination, or denude the oocytes for ICSI.
• Monitor embryos for growth and determine when ready for implantation.
• Change the culture media as needed during the course of culture before the embryo transfer procedure and post
• Perform embryo biopsy procedures on embryos at day 3 or day 5.
• May perform assisted hatching on embryos
• Assess the quality of the embryos and report embryo quality to physician.
• Embryologists will load the embryos into the transfer catheter and work with the doctor to perform the embryo transfer procedure.
• Freeze excess embryos

Requirements:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biology, Reproductive Science, or related field
- Experience with venipuncture and blood sampling techniques
- Knowledge of anatomy and reproductive biology
- Familiarity with laboratory procedures and equipment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Skills:

- Experience in both research laboratory and clinical laboratory settings
- Proficiency in DNA isolation techniques
- Knowledge of clinical trials related to reproductive health
- Familiarity with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)

Pay: $120,000.00 - $159,000.00 per year
