Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Patient Navigator Intermediate role. This position requires expertise gained through successfully fulfilling the essential responsibilities of a Junior Patient Navigator for at least one year and meeting the necessary requirements for progression.

Responsibilities:

• Onboard and create new patients.

• Collect patient demographic information and ensure the accuracy of insurance details.

• Manage outbound calls and follow up on patient next steps.

• Understand and oversee the schedule/doctor template.

• Oversee online/email/paper referral intakes.

• Process and handle medical records.

• Manage incoming emails, patient scheduling, and surgery scheduling.

Qualifications:

• Strong organizational skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Flexibility and adaptability in work habits.
• Accurate typing and effective communication skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology helpful

HIPAA Minimum Necessary Standard and Need to Know:
A will have access to medical and computer records within their division to complete the tasks assigned to their role. They should not look at computer or medical records for patients they are not providing services for or using to complete their specific job functions. Computer security functions are assigned to job classification.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is required to stand, walk and sit. Must use hands with fine motor skills, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 50 pounds. Vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
