Brown Paper Goods is Hiring a Production Supervisor Near Waukegan, IL
Paper packaging manufacturer of products used in the food industry. Located in a well-maintained industrial park in the Waukegan area.
Looking for a hands-on Production Supervisor to support the manufacturing operations by directing, coordinating, and managing the machine operators. This position requires a background in production machinery. Preferably flexographic printing and converting paper packaging.
Second shift hours of 2pm to 10pm Monday - Friday and some Saturdays. Some overtime available during the week before 2pm.
Job Duties:
- Supervise, develop, and motivate employees
- Monitor the workflow to ensure jobs are completed on a timely basis
- Lead and assist employees in problem resolution by stepping in to troubleshoot and/or train
- Ensure counts and paperwork are completed
- Manage continuous improvement plans
- Ensure employees are following safe work practices and procedures consistently and completely
Job Requirements:
- Previous experience in Flexographic printing, bag converting, and/or lamination
- Previous experience in a supervisory role of at least 5 years
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment of at least 10 years
- Must be self-driven, results orientated, organized, pro-active, and a logical thinker
- Bi-lingual required
- Good communication skills both verbal and written
- Basic computer skills
- Some machine mechanics required
