Alongside the firm’s Chief Administrative Officer, the Director of Operations and Facilities will play a key role in promoting operational excellence and facilitating the seamless functioning of the organization. This position oversees all aspects of Brown Rudnick’s operational function and physical infrastructure, focusing on strategic planning, resource allocation and process optimization across various departments.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies to improve the client experience in the office space, ensuring a top class and consistent client experience.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize office space utilization, including workspace design, layout planning, and expansion projects.
  • Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of office facilities, including building systems, security, cleaning, and repairs.
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for facility-related services, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety regulations, including emergency preparedness and evacuation procedures.
  • Develop and maintain office policies and procedures related to facilities management, mailroom operations, client coordinators, office supplies, etc.
  • Implement sustainable practices to reduce environmental impact and promote corporate social responsibility.
  • Monitor and control departmental budgets, expenditures, and capital investments.
  • Lead the Legal Executive Assistant function, ensuring effective resource allocation and utilization, training and development, and performance management.
  • recruit, select, orient, and train business professionals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field strongly preferred.
  • 8 years of proven experience working in Operations and Facilities management, preferably in a legal or professional services environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other office management software.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience supervising staff.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in completing tasks.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and responsibilities.
  • Professional demeanor and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.

Salary range based on experience level is estimated to be in the range of $180,000-220,000
