Richmond, VA 23231

Shift: Monday – Friday 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Our team of attorneys, analysts, programmers, and reviewers leads the industry in claims administration, settlement administration, and data management solutions. A settlement administrator distinguished by its talent, innovation, and cutting-edge technologies, BrownGreer designs and implements complex mass claims processes that can involve millions of claimants and billions of dollars in settlement funds.

Onboarding, training, and work functions will be completed in our Richmond, VA office and via a secure network remotely. This position is 80% remote and 20% in office. Candidates must be a resident of Virginia and are required to work in office on Wednesdays and remotely in Virginia all other days. Candidates may also be asked to work in office for certain business needs or trainings.

Functions:

The Human Resources Administrator is responsible for supporting the Human Resources Department in a variety of HR competencies. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize tasks, work on varying projects, and must be capable of problem solving in a fast-paced work environment while ensuring accuracy and timeliness of work deliverables.

The Human Resources Administrator is responsible for assisting with tasks including, but not limited to onboarding, recruitment coordination, benefit administration, payroll administration, general employee assistance, and assisting the Human Resources department.

Duties and Responsibilities, include but not limited to:

Onboarding & Recruitment:

  • Responsible for coordination of new hires and separations with various internal departments; ensure all steps, procedures, and acknowledgements are followed according to the department’s guidelines.
  • Responsible for scheduling, coordinating, and conducting new employee orientation meetings.
  • Assist HR team with coordination of recruitment efforts, including scheduling and correspondence of candidates.
  • Update HRIS system with new hires and other changes. Accurately enter data change requests in a timely manner.

Benefits Administration:

  • Assist employees with new hire and qualifying life event benefit enrollments.
  • Review and reconcile weekly benefit file reports and address issues as needed.
  • Responsible for with COBRA administration and reconciliation of enrollment changes and premiums.

Payroll Administration:

  • Update payroll reporting notes in preparation for payroll processing and assist with processing bi-weekly payroll.
  • Verify timesheets for employees and assist with meeting payroll deadlines.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits.

General HR Administrative Support:

  • Organize and maintains HR records such as employee files, status changes, meeting notes, benefits files, etc.
  • Be a point of contact with general employee questions.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding employment verification.
  • Ability to handle all steps involved in case of a workplace injury and FMLA.
  • Assist HR team with various administrative tasks and projects.
  • Assist in researching, preparing, and posting required employment notices.
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned by Human Resources team.
  • Maintains and promotes a safe and healthy work environment by enforcing organization standards and all applicable policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook, while adhering to legal regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent and/or related work experience with comparable responsibility.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of progressive human resources experience required.
  • Demonstrate exceptional working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Experience working in a HRIS system, preferably in ADP Workforce Now.
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, analytical, problem solving, verbal and written communication skills. Adjust messages, style, and learning strategies to fit target audience.
  • Can work independently and exercise sound judgment, when necessary.
  • Work under pressure and cope with multiple and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of or exposure to employment law and HR practices at federal and state levels.
  • Demonstrate integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism at all times.
  • Work well in teams, self-starter, and quick learner.
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills and able to work in a team environment.
  • The employee will be required to sign a BG Confidentiality Statement and complete a Conflicts of Interest Form as a condition of employment.

Physical Requirements:

Sitting, standing, walking, keyboard/mouse use, lifting (11-25 lbs.) and bend occasionally.

Supervision received from Director of Human Resources and Human Resources Manager.
