Panhandle Power Solutions is seeking a self-motivated, deadline-driven Low Voltage Fire Alarm Technician to assist with the day-to-day operations of our ongoing projects at Tyndall AFB. As LV Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of low voltage fire alarm systems on various commercial projects. This position requires a thorough understanding of fire alarm system components, wiring and compliance with safety and industry standards. This position will be on-site at Tyndall AFB, Panama City, Florida.
Successful Low Voltage Fire Alarm Technicians must have strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in changing project conditions.
Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions):

• Assist with Fire Alarm field layout of work.
• Install low voltage fire alarm systems, including control panels, detectors, annunciators, and related devices.
• Run, pull, and terminate wiring and cabling according to project specifications and electrical codes.
• Test and program fire alarm systems to ensure proper functionality and compliance with design specifications, performing any troubleshooting measures as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of installations, inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
• Prepare detailed reports on system status, maintenance activities, and any issues encountered.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA standards, local codes, and industry regulations.

Qualifications:

• 5-7 years of experience in low voltage fire alarm systems.
• Strong technical skills and proficiency with hand tools, testing equipment, and diagnostic tools.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics and technical manuals.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of NFPA standards, local codes, and regulations related to fire alarm systems.
