Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced Contract Safety Advisor to join our team in Cincinnati, Ohio. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in managing Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) aspects of large-scale construction projects, specifically within industrial chemical processing or refining facilities. This role requires on-site presence to ensure that HSE policies and procedures are strictly adhered to according to OSHA standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee HSE compliance for contractors (200 personnel) during construction and execution phases
  • Act as the primary HSE oversight for the owner, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and project standards
  • Conduct regular field inspections to enforce HSE policies and procedures
  • Manage HSE reporting and tracking systems
  • Identify, classify, and resolve various HSE issues promptly
  • Foster effective partnerships between the owner and contractors

Must-Have Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years in a similar role managing large teams of contractors
  • Significant experience in HSE oversight for industrial chemical processing or refining facilities
  • Proven track record with $50M CAPEX projects
  • Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and HSE management systems
  • Excellent soft skills for managing partnerships and resolving conflicts

Desired Experience (Preferred but not required):

  • Degree or certifications in relevant fields
  • Mechanical construction background
