Job Description
- Build and maintain dies and fixtures using the latest technology to meet required customer specifications and ensure customer satisfaction. Produce a final product that meets Brunk's high-quality standards.
- Ensure accuracy and quality on all jobs.
- Possess a working knowledge of S.P.C.
- Operate and understand the use of hand tools, grinding machinery, milling machinery, drill presses, lathes, band saws, heat treating ovens, optical comparators, various measuring devices, and die hoists.
- Build, repair, maintain, troubleshoot, and debug progressive dies and new tooling.
- Perform mathematic and geometric functions and possess a mechanical aptitude.
- Read blueprints.
- Assist in press setup as required.
- Operate computer die maintenance program and other required computer processes.
- Knowledge of CNC and wire EDM processes.
- Cooperate with other employees in order to satisfy the job requirements.
- Possess tools of the trade.
- Follow all safety procedures and regulations.
- Maintain a tidy and clean workstation.
- Complete data entry activities in a timely and accurate manner
- Good communication skills and team skills required to complete projects on time.
- Ability to analyze blueprints, determine materials required, and machines various pieces of material and components to make, modify, or repair tools, dies, etc.
- Understand the operation of computer and tool room equipment relative to their job responsibilities.
- Problem-solving skills
- Attention to accuracy and details.
- Journeyman Certificate with 4 years of apprenticeship and two years of experience.
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
- Work is in a manufacturing setting with noise and some grinding dust. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull 100 to 2500 lbs. using die carts.
- Must wear protective shoes, safety glasses, and shop coat and wear ear protection while working around loud noises.
