Bruster's Real Ice Cream is looking for a self motivated, careful and thorough individual that will take pride in the work they are doing to help maintain and watch over our facility. The property at Bruster's is unique as Bruster's Park is our dining room. The external appearance of the building and our park like exterior must be maintained by leaf blowing, pressure washing, window washing and general maintenance around our dining and seating areas, deck and dumpster area. Sometimes touch up painting and the use of pesticides may be needed to control ants.

All aspects of Maintenance will be required and will include defrosting of ice cream cabinets, cleaning of all ice cream refrigeration units, sinks, shelving units, floors and bathroom facility.

Bruster's Park has an acre of land and if you consider applying, physical endurance is needed to handle all aspects of this job. A keen eye for detail and diligence are imperative tor this custodial maintenance job. We are a family owned business and we operate it that manner with an open door policy.

Skills

• Proven experience as custodian, janitor or in a similar role
• Knowledge of use and maintenance of industrial cleaning equipment and appliances
• Knowledge of safe disposal of chemical liquids and other hazardous components
• Familiarity with basic landscaping and handyman practices
• Attention to detail and conscientiousness
• Very good physical condition and strength
• High school diploma is preferred but not required

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 24 per week
