Bryant Group Inc. a well-established Plumbing Contractor, and is seeking an EXPERIENCED ESTIMATOR/DRAFTSPERSON for our Forest Hill, MD location.

JOB DESCRIPTION – ESTIMATOR/DRAFTSPERSON

Functional Summary

The Estimator Position works closely with Project Managers to determine the costs associated with completing the scope of work in a project. This position is responsible for completing quantity take-offs, preparing cost estimates, organizing bid bonds, communicating with clients during bid process.

Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Estimator include, but are not limited to:

  • Analyze drawings, specifications and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates
  • Use computer application (TIF) to draw and manipulate the following plans-Plumbing sanitary waste pipes for ground works and rough-ins to each fixture
  • Plumbing domestic water pipes for ground works and rough-ins to each fixture
  • Plumbing Gas Pipes for rough-ins to each fixture
  • Create material takeoffs, labor estimates, draw schedules for base house and options for plumbing house set-up
  • Create standard and NSO options with takeoff and prices as needed for releases. Change and adjust as necessary
  • Download and interpret builder selection sheets and releases for each lot
  • Acts as a resource for the project management by providing cost information and developing cost estimates for changes in the work, during different phases of construction
  • Occasional travel required to jobsite to review design’s and takeoffs with field personnel

  • Occasional travel required to jobsite to review design’s and takeoffs with field personnel

Qualifications

Working Conditions
