Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Pharmacy Director to lead our pharmaceutical services at our hospital in Roxboro, NC. This is a senior-level position reporting directly to the Market Chief Executive Officer. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our pharmacy operations meet state and federal regulations and providing high-quality pharmaceutical care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage drug therapy protocols as part of an interdisciplinary team.

• Review and evaluate medication orders to identify, prevent, and resolve potential drug-related issues.

• Provide drug information and education to medical staff, healthcare professionals, patients, and pharmacy students.

• Document interventions and outcomes for drug therapy quality improvement.

• Ensure accuracy and completeness of medication orders and supervise the filling process by pharmacy technicians.

• Maintain knowledge of pharmacy automated systems and software.

• Hire, supervise, train, evaluate, and manage departmental personnel.

• Perform administrative activities for efficient pharmacy operations.

• Interpret physician drug orders, set administration schedules, and update patient drug therapy profiles accurately.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree required.

• Licenses/Certifications:
• Active license by the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy.
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support(ACLS) certifications from the American Health Association (can be completed before starting the position).

• Experience: Hospital-based clinical pharmacy experience required. Management or supervisory experience preferred.

• Skills: Strong critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work independently.
