Shift: 7PM-7AM, rotating weekends

Bonus: :$15K with 2-year commitment

Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) is primarily responsible for the total care of assigned clients in their unit. Key duties include assessment, reassessment, establishing nursing diagnoses, formulating care plans, implementing care, and evaluating outcomes. The RN also provides health care education to clients and their families, supports the goals of Andalusia Health and the Department of Nursing, and leads the nursing team to maintain high standards of care. This role involves supervising both licensed and non-licensed nursing staff. The position requires schedule flexibility, including working all shifts, weekends, and holidays, to ensure continuous and appropriate patient care. The RN provides care to all patient populations, considering age and diagnosis-specific needs.
Minimum Education:
- Associate’s degree Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Alabama.
- BLS/CPR required within 30 days of hire date. ACLS required within 6 months of employment.
Required ability to function in stressful situations. Verbal ability to present information and ideas related to nursing theory and practice. Ability to accept responsibility and accountability to provide, delegate, and coordinate nursing care provided on assigned units as required with leadership qualities. The position requires the cognitive ability and practical ability to provide nursing care appropriate to the patient population assigned, considering client age and diagnosis with full implementation of the nursing process to include assessment/reassessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation.
