Brynn Marr Hospital is seeking Temporary Behavioral Health Registered Nurses (RN) to join our team in our location in Jacksonville, NC. This is a full-time temporary position!

Job Description

This opportunity is full-time, temporary 24-week (6 month) assignment at 36 hours per week with opportunity for overtime.

Available Shifts:

  • Day Shift 7am-7pm
  • Night Shift 7pm-7am
  • 3 shifts per week

Candidates must not have been employed at Brynn Marr Hospital within the past 6 months to be eligible for temporary assignments. Brynn Marr Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide care for patients in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation setting. The RN will be responsible for providing direct patient care and working with the Medical Director and other staff to ensure quality of care. The ideal candidate will have a graduate degree, currently active as an RN, and has one or more years of experience in a long-term care setting.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of geriatric patient care practices. The nurse will be responsible for planning and implementing the plan of care for the patients we serve, including resident assessment, rooming plan development, nursing assessment, medication administration and documentation, physical therapy planning and coordination with other disciplines. The nurse will also be responsible for developing and implementing the nursing plan for the facility as directed by the medical director. The nurse will also be responsible for communicating any changes in the resident’s condition as they relate to their care to medical staff.

Responsibilities:
·Provides direct patient care under the direction of the Medical Director.
·Under the direction of the Medical Director, plans and implements resident care packages, including resident assessments, rooming plans, physical therapy plans and coordination with other disciplines.
·Documents assessment and plan information in nursing database.
·Conducts daily rounds with residents in their rooms and responds immediately to any changes in resident’s condition.
·Reconciles with Medical Director any changes in resident’s condition that do not conform to the plan of care or nursing documentation.
·Communicates with nurses, physicians, surgeons and other personnel in the facility regarding concerns regarding resident’s progress.
·Coordinates admission procedures with physician and other personnel as needed.
·Performs all duties as required by each patient’s medical condition.
·Adheres to all federal, state and local regulations regarding patient care.

Required Skills:
·Graduate degree from an accredited school of nursing required; Master’s degree preferred. Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) or Doctor of Occupational Therapy (DOT) required. RN Licensure within the last 5 years required; Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) within 5 years preferred. Must be able to complete state licensing exam within 5 months of employment.
