Project Manager Description:

The Project Manager duties consist of quoting fabrication of structural steel, miscellaneous steel,

engineering processes and services. Through hands-on experience the project manager is able to review

difficult fabrication scenarios and work to a solution.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

· Prepare estimates on new projects and estimate prices on change orders on existing contracts.

· Read and interpret job bid instructions. Evaluates all contract documents including all bid

· drawings, specifications, general conditions and if necessary, the project site.

· Quantifies number of shop and detailing hours to fabricate structural steel and miscellaneous

· metals.

· Determines scope of work for our trade and determines vague areas to qualify bids. Develops

· comprehensive, detailed proposal for the project estimated.

· Posts bid negotiations with client and staff to determine final scopes of work and assigns values

· to items that may be revised or deleted.

· Posts bid “value engineering”.

· Oversee and review milestones of project through bid, detailing, purchasing, fabrication, and

· shipment.

· Keep logs up to date, meet or beat budget, stay on schedule, and keep to your scope.

Working Knowledge of CNC, and Tekla EPM (Fabsuite).
