Key responsibilities for this position include but, are not limited to the following:
- Duties will include but are not limited to
- Remedial driver training; ono-on-one and in truck
- Conduct classroom training for current driver/dock
- Monitor e-logs for habitual offenses created by poor driving habits
- Must have driving experience
- Conduct annual Hazmat training at our facilities
- Train our drivers on proper pre and post trip inspections
- All around focus on Safety with our drivers, forklift operators and equipment
- Ensure compliance with FMCSA and OSHA regulations.
- Must be willing to travel between our terminals
- Other work-related tasks as assigned by management
Required experience includes:
- Five (5) plus years Class A driving experience
- A minimum of two years of work history as a Safety Supervisor
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral
- Proven people skills including relationship building, dispute resolution, and tact
- Problem solving skills are required
- Ability to work independently and adapt to changes in your environment
- Proficient skill set with Microsoft Office, including Excel and WORD
- Must have an attention to detail and maintain a high level of accuracy
- Self-discipline
