Responsibilities

• Document and Improve Processes: Analyze existing accounting and bookkeeping processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement. Implement strategies such as "lean accounting" to eliminate waste and enhance throughput.
• Flowchart Processes and Workflows: Utilize tools like Visio to create visual representations (flowcharts) of accounting processes and workflows.
• Maximize Accuracy and Efficiency: Streamline accounting workflows to achieve faster results with reduced error rates.
• Developing Performance Metrics and KPIs: Establish benchmarks and targets for performance metrics and key performance indicators, regularly monitoring and evaluating progress to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Independent Thinking: Demonstrate critical thinking skills to solve complex accounting challenges independently.
• Effective Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, communicate findings, and propose solutions clearly and concisely.
• Build Rapport: Establish positive relationships with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders to foster cooperation and teamwork.
• Salesforce Experience: Utilize Salesforce or similar CRM systems for data management and reporting.
• Backup for Critical Functions: Assume responsibility for critical accounting functions in the absence of designated staff, ensuring seamless continuity of operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on process improvement and metrics.
• Technical proficiency in accounting software, data analysis tools, data visualization software, and Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with "lean accounting" principles and their practical application.
• A knack for problem-solving and a methodical approach to finding solutions.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with Salesforce or other CRM platforms is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
