BTI Security is accepting applications for Full-time and Part-time Protective Service Officers in Washington, DC. This is designated as an Essential position.

BTI Security seeks to hire security guards who demonstrate professionalism and a solid commitment to protecting and securing our sites, staff, and clients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Patrolling and monitoring exterior and community areas on premises.
• Access control of entrances and exits and departure of employees and visitors.
• Providing detailed reports on daily activities and incidents.
• Knowledgeable and able to effectively use magnetometer and X-ray machines.
• Using provided communication devices such as two-way radios in a clear and concise manner.
• Performing CPR or first aid when needed.
• Ensure credentials are maintained per contract requirements.
• Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor and / or Project Manager.

Minimum Requirements :

• Two (2) years of security experience.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Security Guard Card.
• Strong relevant knowledge of the security industry.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must have a customer service-driven mindset.
• Ability to communicate effectively and present information to all levels of internal and external customers.

Education Requirements :

• High School Diploma / GED
• Associates Degree

• DHS Suitability
• O.C. aerosol spray
• MEB Expandable Baton
• Initials Weapon Training
• NWDTP Training
• CPR / First Aid
• Firearms Qualification
• FPS Orientation Certificate
