The Utility Porter position contributes to the success of Buca di Beppo by cleaning kitchen and restaurant equipment, removing refuse from the premises, and cleaning small wares, glassware, and plate-ware. The Kitchen Utility’s responsibility is to achieve and provide a sanitary work environment and maintain a clean and orderly dining atmosphere.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
• Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and/or pans using dishwashers or by hand.
• Place clean dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment in storage areas.
• Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in clean and orderly condition.
• Stock supplies such as food and utensils in serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, and salad bars.
• Sweep and scrub floors.
• Clean garbage cans with water or steam.
• Sort and remove the trash, placing it in designated pickup areas.
• Clean and prepare various foods for cooking or serving.
• Prepare and package individual place settings.
• Service, clean, and supply restrooms.
• Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing or vacuuming them.
• Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors.
• Unload shipments; stock and restock inventory.
• Set up, arrange, and remove decorations, tables, chairs, ladders, and scaffolding to prepare facilities for events such as banquets and meetings.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
• Work as a team and use positive communication skills at every opportunity.
• Clean, stock, and maintain workstation throughout a shift.
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies.
