Duties of a Systems Engineer may include: Source new technical concepts from industry, academia, national labs, and other organizations
Interpret application of technology to the missile defense mission
Produce reports and presentations to communicate concepts and value assessments to missile defense stakeholders including leadership, congressional staff, colleagues, and partners
Develop capabilities-based acquisition approaches for concepts/systems under study
Review documentation for consistency with approved baselines and system architectures Develop plans of action and milestones for analytical study efforts
Review and contribute to the development of program plans and strategies Requirements Technical or programmatic experience with Ballistic Missile Defense applicable technologies preferred (e.g., sensor, interceptor, C2BMC (Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications))
Familiarity with the Overhead Persistent Infra-Red (OPIR) sensor architecture, Space Based Infra-Red System (SBIRS) and other programs of record
Familiarity with Special Access Program (SAP) security protocols preferred Computer skills including Microsoft Office, Office 365, One Drive
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Education Requirement Masters of Science in Engineering, Math or Physics
Clearance Requirement ACTIVE Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance
