Buck and Rider is Hiring a Prep Cook Near Gilbert, AZ

Buck & Rider is looking for Prep Cooks to join our elite team and support our upcoming growth at our brand-new Gilbert location!
The new Buck & Rider is a Seafood Eatery and Oyster Bar housed in Agritopia’s Epicenter; a building inspired by a swanky beach bungalow on the Australia coast. Our seafood-centric restaurant focuses on a fun vibe, youthful attitude, and clean recipe lineup of food and drinks. Everything is fresh, from the raw bar to the vegetables, and locally driven. The sharp service style of the staff reflects the high standards of the entire restaurant team.
We're looking for positive and professional team members who are excited to learn our systems and develop in our culture. Experience in a high-volume polished atmosphere is preferred.
You will work in one of Phoenix’s most acclaimed restaurants, so if you thrive in a high-energy, team-based environment, then we want to hear from you.
Steak and seafood knowledge is a plus—but the desire to learn and deliver the highest level of hospitality is even better.
Day in the Life:
  • Provide the highest level of cleanliness to brand standards
  • Knowledge of recipe adherence
  • Ensure that food is executed with highest quality of both taste and appearance
  • Accuracy and speed when executing assigned tasks
  • Demonstrate team service throughout shift in high volume, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to read tickets and execute any modifications requested
  • Execute best practices to include proper cooking and holding temperatures, sanitation procedures and safety protocols
  • Accept direction from Management
  • Ability to spend long hours standing and walking
  • Adhere to all company safety and sanitation policies and procedures

Requirements:
  • Comply with nutrition, sanitation regulations and safety standards
  • Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or lead prep cook
  • Have a current Food Handler's/Servesafe card or ability to obtain
On-site hiring will begin early August at The Tyler apartment complex located in the same building as Buck & Rider near Higley and Ray Roads. Appointments will be scheduled as well as walk ins.
