Buckelew Programs is a non-profit, behavioral healthcare organization with the mission is to promote recovery, resilience and hope by providing behavioral health and support services that enhance quality of life.
We are seeking a new Program Manager to join our Family Services Coordination (FSC) team which offers referrals and education for families of those with behavioral health or situational issues. Your role will be to motivate and guide Program Coordinators and administrative staff. You will be responsible for the administrative day-to-day operations of assigned areas of the program and will contribute to the strategic planning, budgeting and all other elements of ongoing program management.
As a member of the FSC department, you will work with internal and external teams to include the police department, fire department, homeless outreach, SCBH and the agency’s Family Service Coordination staff and report to our Program Director.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING:
Education and Experience: Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Psychiatric Technician’s license, Registered Nurse or Peer Support Specialist Certification; or Patient Navigation Certification; or Certification in Community Health, Advocacy, Drug and Alcohol similar discipline and/or equivalent work experience. Five or more years of experience in a behavioral health organization. Five plus years of supervisory experience required. Strong understanding of family and group dynamics. Must have strong organizational and crisis management skills, strong knowledge of documentation requirements, treatment planning, and assessment. Two or more years of experience with electronic health records (EHR) preferred. One or more years of experience in first responder related field, preferred.
Skills and Abilities: Must be fluent in English. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Ability to work in an independent, organized, calm and reassuring manner using good boundaries and good judgment; to be reliable, dependable and flexible; and to accept supervision, suggestions and feedback. Ability to work within all the rules, regulations, and policies that govern agency compliance. Must have excellent oral and written skills, be organized, responsible, professional, able to work on many projects simultaneously, to be flexible, empathic and able to relate to clients, other professionals, and the general community. Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office (including Excel, Word, Outlook). Must be a positive team player. Must have and maintain a valid California driver’s license with an insurable driving record and insured personal car to use on the job.
