Summary
The Buyer I will work directly with all aspects of the buying process, including frequent vendor follow-up, vendor interaction at monthly markets, in-depth reporting and daily recommendations and preparation for Buyers. Must show independent thinking, high levels of teamwork, initial levels of leadership and supervision. The Buyer I will make active decisions in the buying process in collaboration with respective Buying Team and management and be able to recall historical data relating to product, specifically sales statistics.

Supervisory Responsibilities
Provides day to day leadership on team projects within the Men’s Merchandising Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training Teammates, planning, assigning, and direction work; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining Teammates; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Education and/or Experience
Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
The ability to travel by flight or motor vehicle including overnight stays. Ability to operate a motor vehicle for up to 6 hours.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the Teammate regularly works in an office setting. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
