Buena Vida Tapas & Sol is looking for a Executive Chef for our kitchen. We are looking for that team leader, someone who is very organized, who has a fast pace about them, and who wants to join us and work in an environment where you can have fun, and learn, and put out some great and interesting food for our guests.
The Buena Vida Executive Chef position will be a salary position that comes with Benefits; paid vacation, profit sharing bonus program, a parking pass in a covered secured garage, and health insurance contributions. We are located off of Old Fourth Ward Park across from Ponce City Market where the Beltline access point comes out at our Porch. Responsibilities of an Executive Chef:
● Leading and maintaining a sanitized and well-organized kitchen.
● Recruit, hire, coach, and onboard new BOH staff
● Ensuring kitchen staff is adhering to standards and procedures
● Checking the quality of the ingredients.
● Preparing cooking ingredients using various techniques.
● Menu development
● Arranging food and ensuring appealing presentation.
● Manage food storage, stock, and ingredient orders.
● Writing and Following a prep list and par sheet.
Executive Chef Job Requirements:
● Must have 3 years of Executive Chef experience.
● Must be skilled in operating kitchen equipment.
● Must be skilled in various cooking techniques.
● Strong organizational skills
● Strong financial acumen
● Stable job history
● Outstanding references
● Serve Safe Certified.
● Must showcase teamwork and communication skills.
● Must showcase great organizational skills.
● Must be able to multitask and act quickly.
